Melanie W. is the owner/agent of Diamond Travel Company.  She started her company on the premise that nothing beats personalized service and attention to detail, which is what she promises her clients.  While many Internet sites promote special deals, travelers are often unaware of the restrictions, exceptions, and fine print.  Making choices based on price alone is not always the best course of action and it can sometimes lead to a bad travel experience.  Diamond Travel does not want clients to regret that they didn't call us first.

Diamond Travel is confident that travelers will appreciate the values of a travel agency that cares for its clients.  Even more appealing to travelers is learning that they can actually save money by seeking the help of an experienced travel professional.

Determined to build her business on a solid foundation, Melanie completed a detailed, step-by-step training program which covered every aspect of travel -- air, hotels/resorts, computerized reservation systems (CRS), world geography, tours, cruises, rail and cars, sales and business communications, and several other travel requirements.  Upon completion, she sat for the nationally-recognized Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) certification examination.  Developed by The Travel Institute and the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), this standardized test measures the basic knowledge and skills of travel agent professionals.  Melanie joins nearly 7200 other travel professionals who have proven their competency by passing the TAP exam. 

Melanie is a member of The Travel Institute, a community of professionals dedicated to raising the bar for successful practices in the travel industry.  She is also a member of Cruise Lines International Association, Inc. (CLIA).  CLIA is the industry's -- and the world's -- largest cruise association, operating pursuant to an agreement filed with the Federal Maritime Commission under the Shipping Act of 1984.  CLIA exists to promote all measures that foster a safe, secure and healthy cruise ship environment, educate and train its travel agent members, and promote the value, desirability and affordability of the cruise vacation experience.

Melanie continually studies to gain more knowledge.  She has added the following to her resume':  AMResorts Master Agent, Certified Sandals Specialist, Certified SuperClubs SuperAgent, Crystal Cruises Specialist, Fairmont Famous Agent, GOGO Certified Agent, Iberostar Brand Specialist, Royal Caribbean Bachelor of Adventure, Royal Caribbean Master of Adventure, University of WOW expert, and University of WOW Expert Plus!  She is also simultaneously enrolled in the CLIA Academy, CCL University, NCL-U, and Cancun Tourism Institute.
